Virginia Creeper Trail Bicycling Trip

The Virginia Creeper Trail is 34-mile rail trail, located in the Mount Rogers National Recreation Area of Southwest Virginia. The Creeper Trail is a world-class trail belonging to the Rails to Trails Hall of Fame. Experience the picturesque 17-mile mellow downhill section from Whitetop Station down to Damascus. You'll be shuttled to the top and will be able to enjoy a leisurely ride at your own pace as you roll past creeks, streams and waterfalls. Pack a lunch so that you can stop for a picnic along the way! Once you arrive in the town of Damascus you'll have time to visit the local shops. This trip is open to students, faculty, or staff. Participants will need to indicate their transportation preferences. There are limited spots in the outdoor van. Those spots will be issued on a first-come-first-serve basis. We prefer that students drive themselves or carpool with their roommates/friends. All equipment is included. Snacks are provided. Participants will need to provide a packed lunch or additional snacks and a water bottle. Bring your own protective face covering.
