The Offices of Student Development and Alumni Relations are excited to offer free tailgating spaces on Bobcat Bank to students, alumni, families, faculty, and staff for the soccer games and Homecoming Court Presentation on Saturday, October 6.
Please Note: If using a mobile device to register (phone, iPod, tablet), you will not be able to choose individual tailgating spaces. The spaces will be assigned by "best available" in each section. In order to choose a specific space, please use a laptop or desktop computer.

- Who can claim tailgate passes?
We are excited to celebrate Homecoming with the entire Bobcat Family! Tailgate spots can be claimed by students, student organization, faculty, staff, parents, and alumni who want to come together to cheer on our soccer teams!
- How much do tailgate passes cost?
While limited, tailgate spots are free! We want everyone to be able to enjoy the event without worrying about cost.
- What do I need to bring?
Please bring your printed ticket. If you do not use your tailgate space you will lose the ability to reserve a spot the following year. The tailgate spots will not open until 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 6.
- Where will my spot be?
When the registration opens, you will see the list of available spots. Please select the location you would like. Spots are first come, first served.
- How many tailgate spots can I reserve?
We limit each person, group, or organization to one spot. Please respect your space and those in the spots around you.
- Is electricity available?
Electricity is not provided by the school. If you are in need of power, we recommend that you use your vehicle to power any audio or video equipment. AC converters can be purchased at most electronics stores.
- What do I need to do at the end of the tailgate?
We are so lucky to live in this beautiful area in the mountains and we want it to stay pristine! Please take advantage of the recycling options and ensure that all trash is removed before you leave your tailgate space!
- What are the rules regarding alcohol consumption at tailgates?
For Homecoming only, Lees-McRae College is allowing those of 21 years of age and older to consume alcoholic beverages while tailgating. Those that are consuming or in possession of alcohol must be able to present a valid form of I.D. (Unexpired state issued driver’s license, U.S. Military I.D., State of N.C. Special Identification Card, Official Passport). Liquor, kegs and glass containers are not permitted in any location.
- Can I bring my grill to my tailgate?
The Lees-McRae College tailgating policy states that propane and charcoal grills are the only permissible sources of heat for cooking. Hot coals must be completely extinguished with water prior to leaving the tailgating site. Open flame fires, including fire pits, are prohibited.
