The F3T Fly Fishing Film Tour makes its way to Banner Elk, North Carolina Friday, May 3 in Evans Auditorium within the Cannon Student Center, on the campus of Lees-McRae College. The event is sponsored by the Lees-McRae Outdoor Recreation Management program and Fly Fishing Club, Appalachian State University Fly Fishing Club, and the Watauga Riverkeeper. All the proceeds benefit these groups as well as the fly fishing community.
The doors open at 6 p.m. to allow guests to visit with local fly fishing businesses, guides, and non-profit conservation groups at their information tables. The films begin showing at 7 p.m., and seats are general admission. For more information about the Fly Fishing Film Tour and the films being presented this year, click here.
After the event, join us for an after party with food and drinks at Bodegas Kitchen and Wine Bar from 9–11 p.m. Bodegas is within walking distance from the film venue.
Cost:
Community: $15 in advance online ($17 at the door)
Lees-McRae Students, Faculty, and Staff: $5 online and at the door
Proceeds for this event will benefit both the Lees-McRae Fly Fishing Club and the Appalachian State University Fly Fishing Club. Both groups teach students to fly fish, and appreciate, protect, and restore our natural cold water resources, as well as foster a love of the sport in others.
