Join the Outdoor Recreation Management, Health and Wellness Science, and Biology programs for an Italian Expedition. Trek, sea kayak, and explore Northern Italy from Tuscany down to Venice. This Spring 2020 interdisciplinary course will explore many aspects of the Italian culture through ancient medicine, wellness, and recreation. The course takes a cultural and experiential approach, and it culminates in a two-week travel experience in May 2020. We will travel to:
- Florence
- Alpi Apunane Mountains in Tuscany
- Castentino National Park
- Siena
- Volterra
- Pisa
- Cinque Terre National Park
- Ferrara
- Venice
Cost: $250 deposit to reserve your spot on the expedition
(Total trip cost is TBD but is estimated at $1,500-2,000. Total cost will include flight, ground transportation, park entry, camping, activities and food. This deposit is included in the trip cost.)
Dates: The class will meet two days per week for the spring semester and the expedition will take place in May 2020 (approximately 14–16 days immediately following graduation).
